Edmonstone Leads Contract Audit and Recovery Programs

Managing Partner, Craig L. Greene is pleased to announce that James Edmonstone CPA, CGMA, a principal with Scott Jeffrey & Associates, LLC, has entered into a strategic partnership with Greene Forensic Accounting Solutions LLC (GFAS). Jim will be working with GFAS to lead their contract audit and recovery programs.

Jim has directed financial, insurance, and audit organizations for Fortune 50 Corporations and has worked with closely held companies, nonprofits, and governmental entities. He has identified, valued, and recovered millions resulting from diversions of client assets including the theft of tangible and intellectual property. He has runoff commercial insurance programs, negotiating settlements with distressed insurers and re-insurers.

Jim has also settled numerous complex federal, state, and local tax matters, and negotiated settlements between parties in pre-trial disputes and numerous construction claims. Recently, Jim has been working on municipal debt matters.

Jim and the GFAS team have performed contract and recovery audits of contractors, vendors, health care providers, suppliers, manufacturers, licensees and franchisees, retailers, pharmaceutical chains, consumer packaged goods, professional corporations, IT data centers, grocery chains, insurers and re-insurers.

A GFAS contract compliance and recovery audit of existing and recently completed contractual agreements may improve cash flow, as well as identify tax savings and tax minimization opportunities, financial and operational performance issues, and mismatches between contract terms and actual practice. When overcharges or lost profits are identified, the GFAS team can work with the client to recover lost funds.
